The Spokane Motor Pool is a passionate community of military vehicle collectors, restorers, and history enthusiasts based in Eastern Washington. Our mission is to preserve the legacy of historic military vehicles—rolling reminders of the men and women who served—and to share that legacy with the public through displays, events, and community outreach.
Founded by veterans and civilians alike, we bring together a diverse group of individuals united by a common purpose: to honor military history not just through stories and pictures, but through the rumble of engines and the grit of restoration. Our collection encompasses everything from World War II-era trucks to Cold War armored vehicles—each one lovingly restored and meticulously maintained.
We’re more than just a garage. The Spokane Motor Pool is a living history group. We participate in parades, educational events, veteran memorials, and museum collaborations to ensure these machines—and the memories they carry—are never forgotten.
Honor Pont Military Museum
Honor Point Military and Aerospace Museum
Our partnership with the Honor Point Military Museum strengthens our shared mission to preserve military history and educate future generations. Fielding an interactive mobile Museum, Honor Point works to restore and display historic military artifacts—including our vehicles—within a curated museum space. Together, we create immersive exhibits and experiences that bridge Spokane’s military past with its present-day community.
The Old Grumpy Project
We’re proud to support and collaborate with The Old Grumpy Project. This veteran-led nonprofit uses historic military vehicles and cinematic storytelling to raise awareness about PTSD and support the mental health of veterans and first responders. The project features vehicles like “Old Grumpy,” a restored 1953 Dodge M37 weapons carrier, and “Old Lumpy,” a 1952 field ambulance—both part of our extended motor pool family. Together, we help bring the past to life in service of healing and hope.
